I believe that when we pray and confess that the Angel of the Lord is around us we are doing spiritual warfare. He also gave us the Holy Spirit to warn us of danger. Psalm 103:20 says "His angels obey the voice of His word". Psalm 104:4 says "He makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flaming fire." There are myriads of His ministering spirits sent to minister to those who will inherit salvation!
